To our incredible Miller families, thank you for all that you do each day to support your children and our school. Your partnership, dedication, and commitment help make our Miller community such a special place! 💙💛
We hope you are enjoying a safe, relaxing, and meaningful holiday with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming our students back refreshed and ready for another great week of learning!

SDPD to Support Miller's Growing Traffic Concerns
SDPD to be more vigiliant
Dear Miller Families,
The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) recently contacted Miller after receiving concerns regarding unsafe driving and traffic behaviors near our school. We understand that drop-off and pick-up can be busy times, and we appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep our campus safe.
Please remember:
🚸 Always obey the Safety Patrol and crossing guards. If they are holding signs asking vehicles to stop, please stop and allow pedestrians to cross safely. Please do not cross in areas that are not the crosswalk.
🚗 Please drive slowly and carefully when entering, exiting, or traveling around our campus.
🅿️ Do not double park or leave your vehicle unattended in the drop-off/pick-up line. Parents and caregivers should remain in their vehicles at all times while using the car line.
➡️ Students should exit from the right-hand side of the vehicle only. This helps prevent students from stepping into moving traffic.
🎒 Please make sure your child is ready to exit the vehicle and has all belongings with them. If you need to assist your child with a car seat, belongings, or opening/closing doors, please park in an available parking space before helping them.
SDPD has informed us that officers will be increasing patrols around our school and may issue citations for traffic violations. Citations can begin at $600, depending on the violation.
We know everyone is busy, especially during the morning and afternoon rush. However, no appointment, schedule, or convenience is more important than the safety of our children. A few extra minutes and a little patience can make a tremendous difference. ❤️
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us ensure that Miller remains a safe place for every student, family, and staff member.
Together, we can keep our Miller community safe! 💙💛
