Titan Times

Syracuse High Community,

This week, our students have been hard at work raising money for the SHS Sub for Santa drive. Thank you for the generosity and enthusiasm you’ve already shown. Next week, we’ll continue the excitement with Penny Wars, where students can donate loose change to help determine the winning class. More importantly, these donations provide meaningful support to families in need within our community.

If you would like to contribute, please feel free to send change to school with your student. All funds will support the Amazon shopping spree for local families, including those in one of our feeder junior high schools.

You can also make a difference by purchasing a gift for a child through the Davis School District Sub for Santa program by visiting: daviskids.org/santa

Thank you for helping us spread kindness and joy this holiday season. Go Titans!

We will conduct a HOLD Drill on Tuesday, December 9, as part of our regular safety procedures.

A HOLD is announced when hallways need to remain clear, and teachers keep students in their classrooms, even if the bell rings. Instruction continues as usual. This procedure is used when there is an issue in the hallway that requires students to remain in place, such as:

A facility issue (major spill, malfunction, or repair)
A medical concern involving a student or staff member
A disciplinary incident

This drill helps ensure that students and staff know what to do should a real situation arise.

Thank you for your support as we continue to prioritize student safety.
