Good afternoon, families!

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! THANK YOU to so many families who attended last week's Open House! It was one of our best turn-outs!

Please remember that TOMORROW IS PICTURE DAY! Even if families do not intend on purchasing photos, ALL students will have their pictures taken as these are what we use for our yearbook:-)

Tuesday at Holly Hall will be WORLD DAY OF BULLYING PREVENTION- We are celebrating a day later due to picture day. Students are encouraged to wear BLUE to show solidarity and promote kindness and inclusion.

We will host 2 ALICE DRILLS this week. On Tuesday we will practice as a school and Friday we will practice again alongside county representatives and our local police department. IMPORTANT: Please note that our campus will be closed on Friday from 1:15 - 2:15. If you intend to pick up your child during that time, please arrive closer to 1:00. Thank you!

We are excited for our first PTO MEETING this Tuesday at 5:00! Our Parent-Teacher Organization will meet to plan upcoming events or to discuss possible family workshops. We hope you will join us and consider joining our PTO. PTO dates are listed below as well as a welcome letter from our PTO president, Mrs. Tracy Hobbs.

HHES LOVES VOLUNTEERS! Please check out the form below for upcoming training opportunities!

*Also, if you are interested in volunteering an hour or 2 (or 3...) tomorrow for picture day, please email Mrs. Reckner at ndreckner@ccps.org. Times are from 9:20 - 12:00 and then again from 1:00 - 2:30!

We have received a couple of messages about difficulty reading our Smore newsletter. Please see the following response from Smore: If you are having trouble viewing text from the newsletter on your phone, that often happens when phones are set to DARK MODE.

*In addition, we will change templates away from the Notebook in an effort for better viewing from your phone.

SAVE THE DATE: Our HHES Trunk or Treat Extravaganza will take place on Friday, October 30th. We are happily accepting candy donations to make this event SWEET! Please send any donations to the office and contact Mr. Bill Clouser at wlcouser@ccps.org if you would like to reserve a space to host a trunk!

πŸ†πŸ’™ Our House Fundraiser is well on its way! πŸ’™πŸ†

Look out!! Kabaitan, The House of Kindness, came out of nowhere and took the number 1 spot! But... there’s still plenty of time for the other Houses to make their move!

Remember, funds raised will help us purchase House swag for our students to show off their House pride throughout the school year! πŸŽ‰πŸ

Want to support your favorite House? Consider making a donation using the link below! Every contribution helps and brings us one step closer to filling our school with even more House spirit!

From the Judy Center: From the Judy Center:

The Holly Hall Judy Center Early Learning Hub supports families with children age birth through five, not yet enrolled in school within the Holly Hall Elementary School attendance area. We offer free programming including weekly family/child playgroups, monthly workshops and family engagement events. Additionally, we can connect families to resources including but not limited to food, shelter, medical insurance and more!

Do you have a child birth through age five and not yet enrolled in school? We would love to have you join our weekly playgroups. Our playgroups are one hour long with 45 minute intentional play and a 15 minute group activity. We always end with bubbles!

Please reach out to our Judy Center Staff for more information.
