ASE Student/Staff Of The Week
Each Week, MCS would like to recognize some outstanding individuals from our ASE programs. This Week, meet our Glover and Tucker ASE students and staff members of the week!
Glover ASE Student Of The Week: Natalie Draper
Natalie Draper is a third grade student at Glover ASE. "I enjoy playing with my friends. It is called After School because you get to do really fun stuff after school." Natalie's favorite subjects in regular school are math or word work. When she grows up, Natalie hopes to be an editor or artist. Her favorite snack is Oreos. Natalie's favorite sports are basketball or soccer. Fun Fact: "I'm the smallest in my class."
Glover ASE Staff Of The Week: Meghan Medeiros
Miss Meghan Medeiros has always wanted to work with students so she studied school counseling and is currently in the process of getting a job in that field. Right now, she works at the high school but also wanted to work with the younger kids. "I enjoy being there to support them if they need someone to talk to after school or play an activity with. I enjoy being a mentor/someone to be there for them.” Meghan shared that, "sometimes, if I’m having a bad day just talking to the children and them making me laugh will make my day.” Meghan's favorite snack is chips and her favorite meal are tacos. Her Favorite Sport is Soccer. Fun Fact: Meghan knows how to make cheese! “I’m Portuguese and my grandmother taught me how to make goat cheese.”
Tucker ASE Student Of The Week: Siena Ranieri
Siena Ranieri (or Sise as nicknamed by her dad) is a second grade student at Tucker ASE. Siena enjoys ASE because “I like hanging out with friends that I usually don’t get to see during normal school hours that I like playing with.” During normal school hours, Siena enjoys technology class. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, Siena shared, "I want to be a vet because I enjoy animals. I have seen some videos where animals can’t really be helped so I want to be a person who helps them. I also want to be a singer because I am so interested in playing songs.” Her favorite sport is Karate. Siena's favorite food is pasta. “When I was in Disneyland, I was the queen of pasta and mac & cheese, that is literally all I would eat.”
Tucker ASE Staff Of The Week: Kaitlyn Conley
Miss Katie shared that, “I enjoy younger children. I grew up with two younger siblings who I always babysat. This job is sort of like my babysitting experience since I work with the younger children but just with a lot more of them.” Miss Katie enjoys working the children one on one and learning all of their different personalities. She thinks that this job has taught her the importance of saying sorry. "Sometimes, the children can get so worked up about things and having them say 'sorry' to each other means a lot of them." Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite sport is baseball. Fun fact: Miss Katie is a Model Magic expert! She loves to make different sculptures and figurines for the students. See her work below.
