We had a successful week of ACT Aspire testing. Students were focused and put forth their best effort. We are proud of our stallions!

As the school year winds down, we have several things happening.

May 8th: Kindergarten Celebration (Gavin & Howard)
May 9th: Kindergarten Celebration (Pedersen & McLelland)
May 10th-11th: MAP Testing for 5th graders. Please be sure your child is at school both of these days.
May 8th-12th: Teacher Appreciation Week. PTA sent out a sign up form to help show our teachers they are appreciated. If you missed it, you can sign up here to help. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f4aa5af2aa1f49-teacher?useFullSite=true#/
May 12th: 1st Grade Stickhorse Rodeo
May 12th: It's Glow Dance time! This is the event of the year! We hope to see you dancing in the TGS cafeteria from 7:00-9:00. For more information, about purchasing tickets in advance, see the flyer below.
May 15th: We hope you will join us for an internet safety presentation. Child care will be provided. See flyer below for details.
May 16th: 5th Grade Little Olympics. You should have received a paper about purchasing a shirt, eye black, and snacks for your child. The cost is $20. Please turn the payment in to your child's teacher next week.
May 19th: 5th Grade Cookout
May 19th: Last day to donate to the Girls on the Run Fundraiser--For their Community Impact Project, our Girls on the Run team is collecting summer toys for local children in foster care. Examples include water bottles, swim goggles, floaties, or other favorite summer items. Please consider donating!
May 22nd: 5th Grade Celebration (Wilson & Van Lear)
May 23rd: 5th Celebration (Wharry)

To build a strong connection between home and school, T.G. Smith Elementary strives to create a parent engagement plan with the family as an essential component.
