JSC Weekly Wave

Dear JSC Families and Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I share my decision to step down as JSC principal. These past three years have been some of the most meaningful of my career, and I have truly cherished every moment serving our school community. Yet, my heart has always belonged in the classroom, and after much reflection, I have decided to return to teaching.

I want to sincerely thank each of you for your unwavering support throughout my time here. I will carry with me countless cherished memories—from Joy through the Halls and Fun Day to the many academic achievements and PBIS events that brought so much joy to our students.

The staff at JSC is absolutely amazing, and I have so much love and respect for both the incredible team and our wonderful students. I am confident they will continue to wholeheartedly support one another and every student with the dedication and care that makes our school so special.

I will continue as principal until August 8th to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition into the next school year. It has been a profound honor to serve as principal in my home community, and I look forward to supporting JSC in the capacity of a member of this great community. JSC is and always will be the place to be, and it is because of all of you!

This camp is for girls entering grades 3 through 8. Although today (June 5th) is the deadline to register, they still have some spaces available!

See the information for Summer 2025 Hoop-Fest below. (For boys who will be entering 4th and 5th grade.)

• Monday through Friday, June 16th through August 1st
• Breakfast is served from 9AM to 10AM
• Lunch is served from 12PM to 1PM
• Participants ages 1-18 are invited to enjoy a healthy breakfast and / or lunch weekdays at the Pottsville Free Public Library!

Please register by emailing potchild@pottsvillelibrary.org with name and age of each participant, which days they'll be attending, and which mealtime(s).

Meals are served at Pottsville Free Public Library, 215 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901

Meals are provided by the Pottsville Area School District.

*Breakfast will begin on Tuesday, June 17th
