Information for Families

Dear Timberwolf Families,

I hope that you had a nice March Break. We are excited to move into some of the Spring activities at Truedell. Junior Basketball is underway and it won't be long before our Running Club is back out on the sidewalks preparing for the road races. The intermediates will also have an opportunity to be a part of a Co-Ed Touch Football Team once the fields dry. Floor Hockey Intramurals are over but Handball Intramurals will be starting after the March Break. The winter clubs have ended and we have some new ones for the Spring including; Arts & CraftsClub and Book Club. We are INCREDIBLY fortunate at Truedell to have so many staff members who are willing to volunteer to run extra-curriculars for students.

We are extremely proud of our Knitting Club that made hats over the winter for Lily's Place through Homebased Housing. It is wonderful that our students had the opportunity to learn new skills, as well as make an impact in our community. Thank you to Ms. Shunk for organizing the Knit Club and this important project.

Beach Day was a huge success on the Friday before March Break. Our intermediate students ran a variety of activities for the primary students. The gym was full of smiles and it was wonderful to see student leadership in action!

There are a number of Mental Health Workshops for children and families offered by the Maltby Centre. Please take the time to review the ones being offered this Spring. I highly encourage families to access these excellent workshops.
