June Update
Glasscock County ISD

Dear Bearkat Community,
As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank each of our families for the trust, support, and partnership you have shown throughout the year. It has been a joy to watch our students learn, grow, achieve, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Whether you volunteered at events, helped with homework, attended performances and games, or simply encouraged your child each day, your involvement has made a meaningful difference. The success of our schools is built on the strong relationships we share with our families, and we are deeply grateful for all that you do.
This year was filled with moments that made us proud—from the 5th Grade Wax Museum and our first-ever Prose State Champion to athletic achievements and countless acts of kindness that reflected the very best of our school community. Together, we have created an environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.
We wish you and your family a summer filled with rest, fun, and special time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another great year.
Let's continue Achieving Excellence Together!

Academic Update
STAAR and EOC Scores are Headed Your Way!
The UIL Lone Star Cup is one of the highest honors awarded to Texas schools, recognizing overall excellence in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities throughout the school year. Schools earn points based on their success in UIL competitions, including academic contests, One-Act Play, athletics, golf, tennis, track and field, robotics, and other sanctioned events. The standings reflect the combined achievements of students across multiple programs, rewarding schools that demonstrate excellence in a wide variety of activities. As of May 22, 2026, Garden City is ranked 6th in the state among all 1A schools with 42 points, a testament to the hard work, dedication, and success of our students, coaches, sponsors, teachers, and staff. We are incredibly proud of our Bearkats for competing at such a high level and representing our community with excellence both in and out of the classroom.
