Message from Dawn & Clayton
As we head into the final stretch of the 2025/26 school year, life at SAM continues to be full of excitement and celebration! This week, over 150 students showcased their unique skills, talents, and interests during our annual SAM Showcase. From variety acts and dance performances to musical talents, creative collections, and even Pokémon displays, our students proudly shared the passions that make them uniquely them. SAM Showcase is truly a special tradition and a beautiful reminder of just how diverse, talented, and amazing our SAM community is. A huge congratulations to all of our participants, and a very special thank you to the staff who helped organize, coach, and practice alongside our performers to make this event such a success.
Coming up next week is one of our favourite SAM traditions — our annual Breakfast for Dinner family event! This is a special evening where our staff have the opportunity to show our appreciation for our incredible SAM families by serving up a pancake and sausage dinner. It is always such a fun evening filled with great food, laughter, and time to connect with friends and family. We hope you will join us on Thursday, May 28 from 5:00–6:30 p.m. for this much-loved community event.
Have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing many of you next week at Breakfast for Dinner!

Leadership Garage Sale - Supporting Make a Wish Foundation
Our school will be hosting a Garage Sale Fundraiser on Thursday, June 4th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. We are currently looking for donations of gently used items to help make this event a success!
We kindly ask that donated items be in fairly good condition. Please note that we are unable to accept furniture items. Donations can be dropped off at the school office beginning Monday, May 19th. On the day of the sale, students, families, and members of the community are invited to come shop and support a wonderful cause.
All proceeds from the garage sale will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Thank you for your generosity and support — we appreciate your help in making a difference for children and families in need!
Leadership Bissell Centre Drive
SAM School showed incredible heart and community spirit during our recent donation drive for the Bissell Center! Together, our students worked hard to collect and donate items to support members of our community in need. Through teamwork, kindness, and generosity, students earned an amazing total of 4,085 points!
All donated items have now been delivered, and the team at the Bissell Center was truly blown away by the generosity of our students and families. We are so proud of the way SAM School came together to make a difference.
A huge congratulations goes out to our pizza party winners! In Division 1, the winning classes were 1 Mackay and 2 Smolley, and in Division 2, 4/5 Sheppard and 5 Snow took the top spots. The totals were so incredibly close that we just had to celebrate more than one class in each division!
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support this important cause. Your kindness and teamwork made a real impact!
