We're very excited to announce that we will be opening a Lending Library shortly, which will be called Down the Rabbit Hole. A note was sent home on February 4, so that we can receive your input of what types of books you would like our library to have. We hope to order books throughout this month and have books going home March 3. Feel free to email me with your ideas as well at cwaldron@sanjuan.edu. Look for a permission slip at the end of this month to participate. We hope this access allows reading to be a fun activity in your homes.
Thank you to our wonderful PTA for creating, purchasing, and hanging our new welcome banners around our campus. We're thrilled with the final product!
Thank you to our volunteers, a San Juan retired employee and an IA on staff, who spent hours pruning the rose bushes! We look forward to spring, when those bushes will be blossoming in our friends' honor.
We're honored to have Homayoun be the spokesperson for our site at the District Office Board Room on February 11 from 6:15 - 7:00 pm. Feel free to come show your support for him and our school by attending this meeting. The meeting will be held at San Juan Unified School District Board Room, 3738 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608-3056.
Parking Update
Our Safety Committee has been working diligently on our parking situation. We will be making the RRC parking lot a Permit Only parking lot following February break, February 24. We know that you have been frustrated with the parking situation. An envelope will be coming home with a permit next week. Please make sure the permit is visible as you are entering our parking lot and/or parking on our site.
Join the RRC PTA
PTA would LOVE to recruit a President and Treasurer. Six meetings occur each school year during the day while students are in school. Our current people will train you and provide a transition period. If we don’t find replacements, our PTA will need to dissolve. Please consider supporting our school!
