The LCRMEA Honor Band included: Sarah Boehi (alto sax), Brenden Weber (double bass), Grant Hebert (French horn), Nyah Gomez (flute & piccolo), Gavin Matheson (trombone), Evelyn Gaudet (flute), Carter Castle (tuba), Jameson Fyfe (percussion), Cruz Garrett (trumpet), Emma Boehi (trumpet), Kim Asplund (tenor saxophone), and Elsie Lyon (percussion.)

Budget Bite: School Board Votes to Place Levy Resolution on the Feb. 2026 Ballot

Hockinson School District has a renewal School Programs & Operations (SP&O) levy measure on the February 10, 2026 ballot.

This is not a new tax. It would continue funding for programs that the state does not fully fund, including student support staff, textbooks, curriculum, school security, Advanced Placement and elective classes, arts, music, athletics, technology, transportation, and building maintenance.

If approved by voters, this measure would maintain student programs and services without increasing the total school tax rate above what our community is currently paying in 2025. Learn more at hocksd.org/levy.

School Board Seeks Levy Measure For & Against Statements

The HSD School Board is seeking applications from persons interested in being appointed to committees to write the for/against statements for the Clark County Local Voters’ Pamphlets related to the District’s bond ballot measure, to be considered at the February 10, 2026 Special Election.

The Board will take action on the appointments at its Regular Board Meeting on Dec. 8.
