The Tiger Times
The Promise Career Institute Community Newsletter
February 1, 2026
Greetings PCI Family:
I am excited to share wonderful news about our school’s performance on this year’s College and Career Ready Performance Index. The Promise Career Institute continues to set a high standard, and our recent results reflect the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, and community.
Our school earned a 90.8 percent High School Score from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. This strong result highlights our overall performance across a range of academic and school‑quality measures and places PCI well above both district and state averages.
We are also pleased to report an 84.8 percent score in Content Mastery. This means that our students are meeting grade‑level expectations and building the academic foundation needed for long‑term success in college and career.
In Readiness, PCI earned an 84.6 percent score. This demonstrates that our students are actively involved in meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for the next grade level and for future opportunities beyond high school.
Perhaps most exciting, our students achieved a perfect 100 percent score in Student Progress. This significant accomplishment shows that our students demonstrated exceptional growth in both Mathematics and English Language Arts compared to peers across the state.
These achievements are a reflection of the collaborative spirit that defines The Promise Career Institute. Thank you for your continued support and for believing in the work we do every day to prepare students for bright and promising futures.
Together, we are fulfilling the promise.
Warmly,
Yalanda M. Bell
Principal, The Promise Career Institute
