The Weekly Highlander 2025-2026
Volume #36
A Message from the Principal
Dear Highlander Families:
State testing is next week. During this time, our school will be following a designated testing schedule (see below). Please note that we will not be able to interrupt classrooms during the testing block. Student check-outs, deliveries, or other interruptions will not be allowed until the testing block ends. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind when planning appointments or visits, as maintaining a quiet and uninterrupted environment is essential for students to do their best.
Please support the Hewes PTA by dining at Bajas Fish Taco in the Tustin Marketplace on Tuesday, April 28th from 10:30am - 9pm. The flyer for the event is found in this newsletter. The last week of April is CAASPP testing. We are hoping our families can help stock the lounge with individually packaged snacks or drinks. Ideas for what would be enjoyed are outlined in this newsletter. All donations can be dropped off at the front office.
Please stay connected to Hewes by checking our website and following us on Instagram @heweshighlanders for the latest information and news.

Highlander for a Day is a recognition program at Hewes Middle School that celebrates students for incredible moments of Winning the Day the Highlander Way. Students are recognized for working hard, including others, never giving up, controlling their responses, choosing to act above the line, and taking extreme ownership of their 20 square feet. These are the habits and mindsets that shape our Highlander culture, and we are so proud to share them with our entire school community.
