Message from Mr. Karmazin, Principal
Week of January 27th, 2025
Dear Bryan Middle School Families,
At Bryan Middle, we are committed to supporting the well-being and success of every student. A critical part of this success is regular school attendance. Showing up every day is vital for your child’s learning, engagement, and overall well-being.
We understand that determining whether your child is well enough for school can sometimes be challenging. Here are a few key points to help guide your decisions:
- Send your child to school if they are generally healthy and able to participate in daily activities, even if they have mild symptoms like a runny nose, mild stomachache, or minor rash without other symptoms.
- Avoid keeping your child home unless they are too sick to participate in learning. For example, a fever over 100.4°F, persistent vomiting, or diarrhea are signs they should stay home until symptoms improve.
If your child experiences anxiety about attending school, we are here to help. Reach out to their teacher, school nurse, counselor, or social worker to discuss strategies for keeping your child engaged and comfortable in the school environment.
Remember, a strong partnership between home and school is essential for your child’s success. If you have any questions about when to send your child to school or need further support, don’t hesitate to contact us or consult your child’s health-care provider.
Let’s work together to make this a healthy and productive school year for all our students!
Warm regards,
Mr. Andrew Karmazin
Principal, Bryan Middle School
