Hello and happy Friday!

It's hard to believe it's the last Friday of the school year! What a year it has been.

As I head off to my daughter's final assembly from MUHS and prepare for graduation tomorrow, I know many of us are looking ahead as well as looking behind at this point in the year. Life is full of change, and we have been through a lot of it this year. I feel confident in saying we are finishing the year in a great place --from student learning outcomes and progress, to staff morale, to the larger Salisbury Community culture, we have a lot to feel good about. I, again, want to thank our departing staff and wish them well in their next chapters: Lili Foster, Amy Pyfrom, Eileen Gombosi and Sierra Thornton. I also want to welcome our newest hire, Stephanie Green, who will be our third grade teacher next year. Stephanie comes to us from the Houston area of Texas where she has taught for many years in Montessori magnet schools and schools for newcomers to the US. We are fortunate she has decided to return to her roots in the Middlebury area, and will be able to come meet her future students next week.

Although we are not able to offer a summer program for students this year, I would be interested in helping coordinate some "drop in" afternoons where families and kids can get together on the playground a few times throughout the summer. Please let me know if you'd like to help plan these and keep an eye out for updates. There are some summer options for families around free lunches and camps in the area, so please reach out to us if you would like more information about those.

Fifth grade promotion is this Wednesday starting with the Running in the Halls tradition at 1:30. There will be a short ceremony in the gym followed by a reception for families of the graduates and staff.

We are still in need to a lifeguard for our Waterhouses field trip on Thursday! Please contact Donna if you have any leads on a lifeguard who could supervise swimming from 10:30 - 1:30. Thank you! Other opportunities to join us at Waterhouses are still available. Let Donna know if you would like to come join us on that day.

Thanks for another great week!

Have a nice weekend,

Tracey
