What's Happening This Week:

Dear Boulevard Families,

The Acadience end-of-year testing for students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade has officially begun. Acadience is a reading assessment tool that helps teachers monitor student progress and identify strengths and areas for growth in early literacy skills.

The assessment measures important foundational reading skills such as:

Letter naming
Phonemic awareness
Phonics
Reading fluency
Accuracy
Reading comprehension

These assessments provide valuable information that helps teachers plan instruction and ensure students are on track for reading success.

In addition, students in grades K-2 will also complete the end-of-year MAP Math assessment. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is a computerized assessment that measures student growth and achievement in mathematics. The assessment adapts to each student’s learning level and provides teachers with important information about student progress, strengths, and instructional needs.

We are also proud to announce that OST testing for students in grades 3-5 is now complete. We are extremely proud of our students for their focus, perseverance, and effort throughout the testing process. Our students worked hard and demonstrated the importance of giving their best each day.

Estimadas familias de Boulevard:

Las evaluaciones de fin de año de Acadience para los estudiantes de Kindergarten a 2.º grado han comenzado oficialmente. Acadience es una herramienta de evaluación de lectura que ayuda a los maestros a monitorear el progreso de los estudiantes e identificar fortalezas y áreas de crecimiento en las habilidades tempranas de lectoescritura.

La evaluación mide importantes habilidades fundamentales de lectura, tales como:

Reconocimiento de letras
Conciencia fonémica
Fonética
Fluidez en la lectura
Precisión
Comprensión lectora

Estas evaluaciones proporcionan información valiosa que ayuda a los maestros a planificar la instrucción y asegurar que los estudiantes estén encaminados hacia el éxito en la lectura.

Además, los estudiantes de Kindergarten a 2.º grado también completarán la evaluación de fin de año de MAP Math. MAP (Medidas de Progreso Académico) es una evaluación computarizada que mide el crecimiento y rendimiento de los estudiantes en matemáticas. La evaluación se adapta al nivel de aprendizaje de cada estudiante y proporciona a los maestros información importante sobre el progreso estudiantil, las fortalezas y las necesidades de instrucción.

También nos enorgullece anunciar que las pruebas OST para los estudiantes de 3.º a 5.º grado ya han finalizado. Estamos extremadamente orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes por su enfoque, perseverancia y esfuerzo durante todo el proceso de evaluación. Nuestros estudiantes trabajaron arduamente y demostraron la importancia de dar lo mejor de sí cada día.

Por favor, continúen apoyando a su hijo(a) asegurándose de que llegue a la escuela a tiempo, duerma bien por la noche y venga preparado(a) para aprender cada día.

Teacher's Appreciation Week

Thank you to the Boulevard PTA and our Boulevard families for making our staff feel so appreciated during Staff Appreciation Week. Our teachers and staff truly enjoyed the breakfast, lunches, Dewey's pizza, and the snack cart filled with endless treats and snacks throughout the week.

We are grateful for all of the kindness, and support you continue to show our Boulevard staff. Your generosity and thoughtfulness made this week extra special!

Coming to school regularly helps students feel connected and confident.

Every day of school counts. When students attend school regularly, they build strong routines, stay connected to learning, and make steady academic progress. Our goal is to reach a 95% weekly attendance rate in every grade level, K–5, and we can only do this with strong family partnerships.

By ensuring students arrive at school on time and every day, families play a key role in reducing chronic absenteeism and supporting student success. Let’s work together to help every student be present, engaged, and ready to learn—because every minute counts at Boulevard.

Parent Tip:

Encourage a consistent morning routine and bedtime to help your child arrive at school ready to learn. Even a few extra minutes of sleep and a calm start can make a big difference in attendance and learning.

Cada día de escuela cuenta. Cuando los estudiantes asisten a la escuela de manera regular, desarrollan rutinas sólidas, se mantienen conectados con el aprendizaje y continúan avanzando académicamente. Nuestra meta es alcanzar una tasa de asistencia semanal del 95% en todos los grados de K–5, y esto solo es posible con la colaboración de las familias.
