Weekly Update
April 17, 2026
From the Principal
Another week of school complete! This week was a challenging one with all the crazy weather. I hope, even though we have another wet night ahead, that next week will be a drier one (although it may be a little cooler).
Next Wednesday is our Spring Festival featuring our K-6 students. Our Aquin Band students will also be showcasing their talents. We will have displays of work from our art classes and our grade level classes. You are welcome to come and take a look at all of our progress! The students need to be in the classrooms at 5:45 PM, but you are welcome to come earlier and take a look around. Most of the work will be in the lower hallway by the art room, so keep in mind that there are stairs involved. You are also welcome to park in the parking lot behind the school and walk up to the auditorium.
We have so many great donations for our Movers for Moms with Two Men and A Truck drive! Thank you to those that have already contributed. We will be collecting for the entire month of April. Collection boxes are at both entrances to the school. See more information below. Last year we were very successful, and all the donations stay right in Freeport!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp

Movers for Moms
We are once again partnering with Two Men and a Truck for Movers for Moms. This year the recipients of the donations are the Madonna Renewal Center (blue nuns) and the Salvation Army of Freeport. Both worthy causes. I am attaching their wish lists so that you can participate as much as you are able.
The Salvation Army is looking for non-perishable food items. These are similar to the food collection that we did earlier in the year. Any and all donations are appreciated.
The Madonna Renewal Center list includes clothing items and such that can be gently used and in good condition. So, during Spring Break you may want to go through the closets and find things that you no longer need and donate them! Spring cleaning and a donation to a good cause are a great way to begin Spring!
The collection will run during the entire month of April. We appreciate your generosity!
