Where Learning is Personal

Dear Winfield Families
What a fun and memorable week of end-of-the-year celebrations! Our K–8 students enjoyed Field Day, including the first-ever Middle School Field Day. Students and staff alike enjoyed a beautiful day filled with teamwork, friendly competition, and lots of fun. A special thank you to our PTO for organizing these events and helping create such meaningful experiences for our students. We truly could not do it without your support!
This week also included our Athletics and Activities Awards Assembly, where we celebrated students who chose to get involved both inside and outside the classroom. From athletics and clubs to leadership opportunities and performing arts, we recognized the pride, school spirit, and commitment that make our school community so special.
Our 8th graders have also been busy celebrating the end of their middle school journey with their Fiesta, Great America trip, and Honors Awards Assembly. These events provided opportunities to recognize academic accomplishments, participation, leadership, and the many achievements students have earned throughout the year.
As we finish the school year, we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate together and reflect on the memories, friendships, and accomplishments that have filled this year. We look forward to celebrating our graduates on Monday and wish our 8th-grade class the very best as they begin their next chapter. Tuesday marks the last day of school for all students.
Have a wonderful weekend!
With Tiger Pride,
Melissa Doucet

Pop Tab Recycling for RMHC - Final Weigh-in
Congratulations to our winning classes: Primary-1st Grade, Intermediate-3rd Grade & Middle School-6th grade. Thank you to everyone who collected pop tabs to support Ronald McDonald House Charities — every single tab helps make a difference!
Together, our school collected an amazing 62.57 pounds of pop tabs this spring! Before winter break, we collected another 76 pounds — bringing our grand total for the school year to an incredible 138.57 pounds of pop tabs! Fun fact: That’s estimated to be more than 60,000 pop tabs! If they were lined up end to end, they could stretch farther than 15 football fields placed back-to-back!
Field Day - Thank you, volunteers!
A huge thank you to our Field Day Coordinators, Annie Hart & Mary Campbell, for planning such fun and exciting events! We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the parent volunteers who generously donated their time to help run the games and activities. Your support made the days a great success – we couldn’t have done it without you!
Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
Our sincere thanks go out to everybody who is involved in this year’s upcoming graduation festivities, and most especially the wonderful staff who have helped the class of 2026 grow throughout their years at Winfield School. Your future is bright!
Primary Team News
Preschool has been busy wrapping up the end of the year with all of their fun ABC countdown! They also finished their restaurant unit with a special visit from the owner of Cooper’s Corner. It was such a fun and memorable way to end the study!
Intermediate News
It was a fun-filled, busy week in third grade! We hosted our Winfield Market Day, where the students “sold” their student-created products to our second-grade consumers. The third-graders also shared their poems and celebrated their peers at our Poetry Cafe. 4th grade stayed busy this week wrapping up the year. They completed Ten Story Math, creating a game with their groups. Each game had a setting, a goal of how to win the game, and obstacles players had to face. Every group did an amazing job and used their knowledge of fractions along the way! We finished our electricity reading unit this week. Students learned about different ways that energy is used and how it can be conserved. Students had so much fun at both Field Day and our trip to the park! We are so proud of this group and are excited to finish out the year this next week! In 5th grade this week, students worked on creating their own reader's theater based on a fairy tale, myth, or fable. Each group is required to put some kind of spin on the original story to make it unique. In social studies, students drafted their trailblazer interviews by turning all of their research into an interview script.
Middle School News
6th and 7th grade ELA students have been hard at work filming their book trailers, one of the most popular units of the year. Students selected a class novel and created a trailer highlighting an important moment from the story. We can’t wait to see their final projects next week!
