What's happening on the hill?
Dear Pine Hill families,
December brings extra cheer to our school as the students anticipate family traditions and celebrations, winter vacation, and the first snow. Our string ensemble and the 5th grade chorus and band dazzled us with a concert last night. Thank you to Kelly Hodge, Dan Davis, and Andrea Costello for always bringing a love of music to our school!
Linked here is the latest issue of the DS FoPA Newsletter (Friends of the Performing Arts):
Behind the scenes, we have been working to recruit and hire a new School Adjustment Counselor for our school. Kalie Hastings is leaving her position effective December 22nd. She will share this news with the students that she directly supports beginning next week. Our finalist candidate for the position will be announced very soon and we are working out details to afford a smooth transition. Your child's well-being remains our top priority, and we are committed to providing the necessary support during this transition period.
Our Student Council loves to plan School Spirit Days. Our next spirit day is on Friday, December 22nd and the theme is "dress as your favorite character"... dress as a character from a book, movie or video game. The only catch is staying within our guideline of being Rated G and appropriate for school (don't scare the kindergartners or startle the teachers :)
Happy holidays to all!
Barbara & Allison
