Superintendent's Weekly Update

January 5, 2024
Dear Weymouth Public Schools Community,
We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in the School Committee meeting last evening. Your engagement and input are crucial to the success of our school community.
During the meeting, the importance of ensuring student safety within our school community was presented. We have scheduled community forums to engage with you regarding school safety and well being. Community forums play a crucial role in fostering open communication and collaboration among students, faculty, and staff.
- January 11 - 7:00pm Chapman school community
- January 16 - 7:00pm All Elementary schools community
- January 17 - 7:00pm WHS school community
All sessions will be held at the Chapman School Library. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the forum, however, we want to make sure to answer all questions, even if you are unable to attend. To help facilitate this please fill out the attached form. An FAQ will be sent out after the meeting.
As we move forward, we will continue to prioritize open communication and collaboration. Our commitment to providing a high-quality education remains steadfast, and we appreciate your ongoing support.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Weymouth Public Schools community. We look forward to working together to create a positive and enriching environment for all.
Best regards,
Robert Wargo
Superintendent
Academy Avenue Weymouth Wildcat Media Club
This video was produced by students in the Tuesday After School Academy Avenue Wildcat Media Club which met for five weeks back in November and December. Students came up with the ideas, scheduled the interviews, worked the camera and the lights, and produced the video. It was a ton of fun. Thank you Principal Higgins for the opportunity to run a real movie set!
Weymouth Child Family Community Center
The Weymouth Child Family Community Center and it's affiliated programs are funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is administered by the Weymouth Public Schools.
The CFCE programs work to support all Weymouth families as their child's first teacher, develop community partnerships, and provide quality early educational experiences. For a calendar of events and more information about the program please click here.

Kindergarten Registration - Sibling Survey
In preparation for Kindergarten registration for the next school year for sibling placements we are asking you to take a moment to fill out this brief survey. Given rising enrollments in classrooms across the district, the knowledge of siblings is more important than ever to prepare our classes. Your help with this is much appreciated, if you have any questions please reach out to our Family Engagement Center at familyengagement@weymouthps.org
