8th Grade Washington DC Trip 8th Grade Washington DC Trip

When: April 8-10, 2026

Where: Washington, DC

Who: 8th Grade Students

Trip Leader: Marisha Sunday

ONLINE TRIP INFO & REGISTRATION PORTAL NOW OPEN: ROMEO MS - DC TRIP '26

Fundraiser Available

We have set up an optional fundraiser for students to help them raise money for their trip. Click the link below to purchase either Cluver’s or Hungry Howie’s cards for $12.50 each. You will need to enter your payment amount depending on how many cards you want to purchase (10 cards x $12.50 = $125.00 etc.) Cards are then SOLD for $25. You keep $12.50 from each card sold (a total of $125 for ten cards sold) and apply it towards the cost of the trip. All cards must be purchased through the website link and can be picked up in the main office by the gym from Mrs. Lackowski. Cards are non-refundable, so we recommend starting with 10 and purchasing more as needed. If you have any questions, feel free to email katie.lackowski@romeok12.org or marisha.sunday@romeok12.org.

Nonprofit Exploration Fair Nonprofit Exploration Fair

On Thursday Nov. 6th, our 6th grade students, along with our new 7th and 8th grade students, attended our annual Nonprofit Exploration Fair to learn about nonprofits and to talk to them about how they help our community. They interacted with at least four organizations, asked them questions, filled out an assignment, and even received some swag. Students will also complete a follow-up assignment in their social studies classes. Please ask your child(ren) about the fair and what they learned and experienced!
