MESSAGE FROM THE TOWSON SPORTS BOOSTERS
Attention Student-Athlete Parents:
SECRET MEMO
The Towson High Sports Boosters are excited to announce our third annual Sports Yearbook. This year’s yearbook will have improved layouts and even more great content. The yearbook is one of our primary fundraisers of the year since we are partnering with local businesses to place ads in the yearbook, but the yearbook is free to our student-athletes. The yearbook will feature team pictures, action shots, schedules, and, most importantly, dedication ads. Don’t tell the kids about the dedication ads. We want them to be a surprise. That is the secret part of the secret memo.
Dedication ads are a chance for you to send a keepsake message to your athlete and let them know how much you support their athletic endeavors. The dedication ads will be 1/8 of a page (about a business card size) and will be a vital part of the yearbook. You will want to make sure that your athlete is represented.
One ad will be free for every family that is a member of the sports boosters. So, all you have to do is supply us with the ad before the March 15, 2024 deadline. If you are not a member of the sports boosters, the ads are $25 but remember that a White Membership is only $50, so please consider becoming a member and getting your ad for free. We would love to have you as part of the club. Otherwise, you can visit our site, www.towsonhighsportsboosters.com, and hit the donate now button.

WRESTLING
The Varsity Wrestling team finished a strong dual meet season going 7-6 in the regular season. 3 wrestlers finished the season with over 20 wins including Senior Henry Kline (30-5), Junior Ryan Dunn (26-8), and Junior Jacob Bhatia (25-9). Individually, our wrestlers have also had success starting in December where Jacob Bhatia (6th 120lbs), Ryan Dunn (4th 165lbs), and Henry Kline (6th 175lbs) all took home medals from the Parkville Knightmare Invitational. In January, 5 wrestlers medaled at the Loch Raven Duals those being Jacob Bhatia (1st 120lbs), Zion Mojibola (3rd 144lbs), Brandon Barboza (2nd 150lbs), Andrew Finamore (3rd 157lbs), and Henry Kline (2nd 175lbs). Varsity wrestlers look to take on the county tournament this weekend 2/16 and 2/17 at Perry Hall High School. The following weekend those that qualify will move on to the regional tournament at Aberdeen high School for a chance to earn their place at the MPSSAA State Championships at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro taking place from 2/29 - 3/1.
The JV generals had a fantastic season in which we saw record turn out of underclassmen joining the team. JV wrestled in 3 medleys this year where they applied their new found skills and put them to the test against similarly skilled opposition. At the end of the season, 10 wrestlers went to the JV county invitational representing 9 weight classes and 6 came home with medals. This included Matthew Joffe (4th 106lbs), Ethan Grace (2nd 120lbs), Brain Scally (6th 126lbs), Keaton Beeson (3rd 138lbs), Casey Donovan (2nd 144lbs), and Korben Suskin (2nd 157lbs). Our sophomores will make the leap to varsity next season while the freshman look to jump the high bar they set for themselves this season.
