MR. MICAH KURTZMAN
I graduated from UW–Stevens Point in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in both Social Work and Sociology, then continued my education at UW-Green Bay, where I earned my Master's degree in Social Work. I recently received my license as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), which essentially means that I have lots of tools and resources to support our students. I have experience working with all kinds of students of all different ages, backgrounds, and life experiences, and I am looking forward to bringing those skills to CFC and PoDS.
I also want to address something important: I know that hearing the words “school social worker” can sometimes make people nervous. Please know that my goal is not to work against students or families. My goal is to support you. I want to help our students feel safe, supported, understood, and confident as they navigate school and reach for their goals.
In my free time, outside of working hours, I am deeply involved with Scouting America (formerly known as Boy Scouts), enjoy playing all kinds of board and card games, and love to travel when time and money allow. I am also a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Buffalo Bills fan, so don't be too surprised if you see me in a jersey every so often.
