New: EVHS Parking Lot Changes - Starting Monday, April 14th at 3:00pm

Activity Center Construction Reroutes Traffic and Reduces Parking Spaces

Due to the construction of our new Activity Center, the number of spaces will be reduced in our west and north parking lots and the traffic flow will be changed. The projected date for completion is January 2027.

Beginning After 3pm on Monday, April 14:

  • The Northwest Lot (just to the North of the Bus Corral) must be cleared of all cars. Cars may park in this lot during the school day on Monday and must be moved out of this lot no later than 3:00 p.m. This will allow for staging of the construction zone as well as re-routing of the drop-off lane in this lot.
  • Fewer Spaces: Beginining, Tuesday, April 15 the Northwest Lot will have 70 fewer spots available to students with a permit. Few permits were sold for Quarter 4 in anticipation of this reduction.
  • Drop Off Lane Changes: New one-way lane with a smaller turnaround to enter and exit from the same drive.
  • Plan for Delays: Arrange an earlier morning drop-off and later after school pick-up to accommodate for the additional congestion.

See below for a map outlining the changes.

Please plan your time to allow for a safe arrival and departure from Eastview's parking lot.

April 15th - Schedule Change for Students

On Tuesday, April 15th, there will be a schedule change for students due to the Pre-ACT and ACT test being given to grades 10 and 11, and the bilingual seals test being given to grade 12 students who have opted to take this test. Please see below for more information.

Students in grade 10 and 11 will be taking the ACT and PreACT exams. Some students in grade 12 will be taking the Bilingual Seals tests. This is an important day and opportunity to assess our student learning and help our students prepare for their college and career plans.

  • Grade 9 students will have a Digital Learning Day at home using Schoology for their courses.
  • Grade 10 students will sit for the Pre-ACT exam at Eastview High School. Click here for more information.
  • Grade 11 students will take the ACT exam at Eastview High School. Click here for more information.
  • Grade 12 students who are not taking a Bilingual Seals exam will have a Digital Learning Day at home using Schoology for their courses.

E-LEARNING DAY (Grade 9 students and Grade 12 students not taking the Bilingual Seals exam)

  • Students in grades 9 and 12 (students not taking the Bilingual Seals exam) will stay at home and be expected to engage in an E-Learning Day, using Schoology and their district-issued iPad to complete assigned learning for the day.
  • Teachers will be proctoring our ACT/PreACT/Bilingual Seals exams for all students in grades 10 and 11 and some students in grade 12.
  • The E-Learning day option helps to provide an optimal testing environment for all of our 10th and 11th grade students (and 12th grade students taking the Bilingual Seals exam), limiting potential disruptions and making available the maximum number of staff to help proctor the tests.
  • An optional, quiet, supervised learning environment will be available in the Student Commons for students who need stable Wi-Fi, a quiet, focused learning environment or meals that will be provided for breakfast and lunch.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Student contact day and counts as a full school day for all students.
  • For 9th grade students and 12th grade students who are not taking a Bilingual Seals exam.
  • Teachers will post course lessons by 7:40am on Schoology.
  • Lessons are created to be completed within approximately 25 minutes (with no additional homework).
  • Teachers will communicate their digital office hours availability for questions, outside of their testing assignments and responsibilities ending at 3pm.

SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS

  • Students receiving special education services will either participate in one of the tests, engage in the Digital Learning Day, or attend a regular schedule of center-based classes on
  • April 15. Case managers will work with students and parents to ensure appropriate arrangements and accommodations.

TRANSPORTATION
Our school bus routes will run on our normal schedule on Tuesday, April 15.

New: Support the Learning Commons – View Our Wishlist!

The EVHS Learning Commons accepts a variety of donations that help foster hands-on learning, creativity, and exploration. From craft supplies to tech tools, every contribution helps enrich student experiences. You can view our full wish list here.

Right now, our top need is used smartphones. These devices will be used to power our VR headsets and run our Sphero robots—bringing interactive, tech-rich learning opportunities to life. Even older or imperfect phones can still make a meaningful impact in our makerspace.

Smartphone Donation Criteria:
To be compatible with our equipment, donated phones should:

  • Be unlocked (not tied to a specific carrier)
  • Have Wi-Fi capability (cell service is not required)
  • Have a working screen and basic touch functionality
  • Be usable even with limited battery life (phones can remain plugged in)
  • Be either iPhones or Android devices

All phones will be factory reset before being used by students.

How to Donate:
Please label your donation “Learning Commons” and bring it to the West Door Security Desk (#1) at Eastview High School. We appreciate your support in helping us create a vibrant, innovative space where students can explore, create, and learn. For any questions, please contact Ms. Sonnenberg in the Learning Commons.

Calling All Students for WIN Wednesday!

Students can benefit from an opportunity for academic support every Wednesday afternoon from 2:40pm – 4:15pm in the flex room located in the learning commons. Students are supported to complete their schoolwork learning in a supervised setting. In addition students can also utilize the WIN program to make up tests they may have missed. Students can get this approved through their teacher ahead of time and the test will be ready for them to take during WIN. Faculty and staff are available along with upper-class peer tutors (especially skilled in Mathematics). Students will identify their priorities (“What I Need” or “What’s Important Now”), create a plan for the most efficient use of their time, celebrate their accomplishments, and leave with a plan for continued success. Students do not need to sign up in advance for WIN Time. We do ask that students plan to be there for the start at 2:40pm so they can benefit from the full support. We will keep a log of students and their engagement (arrival/departure time and their focus/work while they are there). For students needing transportation home, activity buses will be available departing at 4:45pm.

BRAVO! 2025: I Want My MTV will celebrate MTV – its influences and its reach into pop culture – through a wide variety of musical numbers, as performed through singing, dance, jazz band and technical theatre.
