Hello DCS Families, I hope you are planning some family fun this week! I wanted to share a few things with you. We ended our week before the break with a wonderful visit from Animal Adventures based in Bolton, MA. Thanks so much to the PTO for supporting this amazing experience where students got to meet, touch, and learn about a variety of animals!
I also wanted to share that we will be kicking off our One School, One Book shared reading March 8th. This is a community event where families will be given a copy of a book which will be read at home. We will be creating recordings of the chapters and will share the link with you if that format works better for you and your family. We also will have a few other fun activities up our sleeves to make this a community-wide event. We are inviting families to come to lunch on March 22nd at 12:00pm to see how we have connected the book to different activities in school.
March 13th will be a busy and exciting day. After the break you will receive a permission slip for students to attend a musical at the Colonial Theater in Keene, NH. Also, on the same day,
there is an evening event where we will gather at school and with the guidance of the Harris Center, we hope to encournter some owls! A flyer went home last week about this (see a copy below). It would be helpful if we know you are attending, so give us a call. Last minute attendance is OK as well.
Have a great week, Nicole
