A Message from our Principal A Message from our Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the spring season. As we near the end of the school year, we have some important updates and events to share with you:

Testing Updates: We are nearing completion for both the ISASP assessments and the Conditions for Learning survey. These evaluations provide valuable insights into our students' progress and the overall learning environment at our school.

Upcoming Events:

Reading on the Lawn and PBIS Picnic: We invite parents to join us on May 16th for a special event where you can enjoy reading with your child outdoors, followed by a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) picnic. More details will be provided soon.

Field Day: Mark your calendars for May 22nd, when we'll be hosting our annual Field Day! Parents are welcome to attend and cheer on the participants.

Last Day of School: The school year will conclude on May 23rd with a 1:30 dismissal. Report cards will be sent home with students on this day.

PTO End of the Year Event: Join us on May 17th from 5:00-7:00 PM for our PTO end of the year celebration. It's a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year's achievements and connect with other parents.

Looking ahead next year:

  • The first day of the new school year will be August 23rd, with a 2-hour early dismissal.

  • For the upcoming academic year, Monday through Thursday dismissals will be at 3:30 PM, and Fridays will have an early dismissal at 1:30 PM every week. The tardy bell has been moved up 5 minutes to 8:35.

We want to express our sincere gratitude for your partnership throughout this school year. Your support and involvement have been instrumental in making this year a success for our students.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to continuing our journey together for the benefit of our students' education and well-being.

Warm regards,

Tami Voegeli

Box Tops for Education

We are collecting Box Tops! Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout a store. You can still clip and send them to school.

Every valid Box Tops clip is worth 10¢ for Loess Hills. Make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.

Box Tops - New Scanning Feature

Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label.

If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for Loess Hills. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to our school's earnings online.
