The Utah State Board of Education has created a Parent Portal to help families navigate the public education system. On it, you'll find information on school meal programs, assessments and testing, accommodations, parent rights, school fees and waivers, online learning (SOEP), CTE programs, student success guides, and how to report a concern.

Are you taking an AP class this year? It’s time to plan ahead for your AP Exams! Please review the fee and deadline schedule below:

• Total Exam Cost: $99 per AP Exam

• Deposit Fee Due: Thursday, November 5, 2026 ($40 per exam)

• Remaining Balance Due: Thursday, March 4, 2027 ($59 per exam)

SFHS Students, it’s time to make your community service count! We are excited to launch our Fall Service Challenge running from September 23 through October 23.

Whether you are helping out at a local food bank, raking leaves for neighbors, or assisting at school events, any volunteer work you complete during these dates can earn you a spot at a Utah Jazz game! At the end of the challenge, the top 3 students with the most hours recorded specifically inside this challenge category will win tickets to an upcoming Jazz game.

1. Access the Portal: Go to the SFHS Volunteer Dashboard.

2. Register First: You MUST click into the Utah Jazz Ticket Challenge opportunity and sign up before logging any hours.

3. Log Hours ONLY Under This Challenge: When submitting your time, you must log your hours directly under the Utah Jazz Ticket Challenge page. Hours logged under general independent service, student council, or any other category will NOT transfer or count toward the competition.

4. Dates Matter: Service must be completed between September 23 and October 23.

Sign up on the dashboard today, start serving, and get those hours logged under the challenge to win!

Counseling Office Hours

• If your student would benefit from meeting with a counselor more consistently, please fill out the Parent Authorization for Counseling Services.
• If you would like your student to participate in a Counseling Group, please fill out this form.
• If your child is interested in earning their General Ed Certificate or an Associate’s Degree, it is required that they make an appointment to meet with our UVU Advisor, Brock Saxey.

☆ Please check your email weekly to get updates on your student's detention hours.

The detention report is ran on Monday afternoon. We encourage you to excuse your student before then.

If students go above 3 hours of detention, they will not be able to participate in extracurricular activities. If they are below 3 hours, they do not need to serve detention.

Refunds will be held until the end of the year to be used towards fines or other fees unless otherwise requested.

NEW THIS YEAR: If your child changes a class that you've already paid for, please contact the finance office to request a refund—either by phone or in person. Please note that refunds for dropped classes are the responsibility of the student and parents.

To receive a Parking Pass, please fill out the Google Form with all the requested information and pay the $10 fee to the Finance Office. Passes will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. You must have a valid driver’s license to be issued a parking pass. Completing the form does not guarantee a parking pass—you must also pay the $10 fee before a pass will be issued.
