School to Home Newsletter - JUNE 2026
If you have not registered your student(s) ONLINE
for the 2026-27 school year, please do as soon as possible.
You should have received a snap code from PowerSchool Enrollment.
If you did not receive it, please check your SPAM folder first.
If nothing is there, please contact the school at 208-324-3369 and Ms. Brewer can assist you with this.
Failure to register early WILL result in your student(s) not being able to ride the bus at the beginning of the school year.
Students not registered will NOT be assigned a teacher!
If you delay your registration past the beginning of August it WILL take 2+ weeks to get them routed on a bus requiring the students to have parents/guardians drop them off daily.
Open Enrollments are also affected and may be denied if registrations and paperwork are not submitted early! Thank you for your help with this!
STAY ENGAGED over Summer Break! Incorporate reading with trips to the library or family reading time and get outside and learn new things. Create art, sing, count everything as you go and have fun but never stop learning!
Student Supply Lists are located on
Summit's Facebook and the JSD District web page!

Congratulations Blayklee Starnes on being the
absolute best when it comes to Attendance!! You rock!
IMPORTANT Parent INFO for SY 26-27
If your child has a 45min. appt midday (for example)
(at Dr./Dentist/Counselor) it is expected that they
are attending school both before and after the appointment.
Every single minute really does count!!!
The Dr. Note ONLY EXCUSES them for the appointment NOT the entire school day.
Dr.'s notes are the only was to have an EXCUSED absence as well.
The Idaho State law states students need to attend school on time, every day!
Students MUST be in their seats at 8:15am NO later!
There will a VERY hard line on Tardies and Early Pick ups next year. (3 = 1absence)
(We NEED you (Parent/Guardian/Driver) to bring your student to school
ON TIME to avoid attendance court with law enforcement)
Student Council and a few Staff
are creating a Pollinator Garden in front of the school!
Please consider donating some hearty perennials
For our future pollinator garden that Student council and a few staff are creating out front of the school!
We are finally getting our "swamp" beautified and the drip line put in to avoid the excess water. We are very excited that we are moving forward. Thank you SSC for your hard wok removing the dead shrubs and fixing the drip line.
Thank you to the JHS FFA/Ag department for donating 8 cone flower plants. Your generosity is really appreciated!!!
PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING:
If you are a gardener and have perennial's you would like to donate
to our garden it would be greatly appreciated!
We are in need of top soil, wood chips and perennial flowers that will fill in and make things look nice while our seeds take time to mature.
Have you registered for 2026-2027 School Year yet?
26-27 School Year Online Enrollment--IMPORTANT!

noreplyenrollment@powerschool.com is the email address with the snap code.
If you did not receive it, please check your spam folder BEFORE contacting the Summit Office.
If you still do not have it, please contact the office at 208-324-3396
or email Tina Brewer @ tina.brewer@jeromeschools.org
DELAYED REGISTRATION:
WILL affect being able to ride the bus the first day of school
as well as any open enrollment requests may be denied!
ALL Library books need to be returned to school, please!
Missing library Books!
If you find any library books over summer please return them to Summit Elementary.
Parents will be responsible to pay student fines.
We are missing way too many library books and they are expensive to replace:
Students that do not return their books will not be allowed to check out books to take home.

Greely with an amazing 98.3%

This correlates so well with
our huge academic growth this year!!!
Keep it up!
Reminder for Grown-ups!
Parents: Please remember to call the school for
absences or email tina.brewer@jeromeschools.org.
Also to reach the office you need to call before
2:30 M-R and 1:30 on Fridays,
for changes in how your student is getting home.
It can get really busy in the office at the end of the day and we might not be able to take your call. DO NOT assume leaving a message during these times is enough.
Be sure to speak with a real person in the office before the above times
to ensure the message is received.
Students will not be allowed to change routes and will be sent on their regularly scheduled method of transportation home WITHOUT WRITTEN permission or a phone call from parent(s).
PLEASE AVOID picking up student early from school!
You may sit and wait for the dismissal bell in the lobby if you choose to
but students are not dismissed through the front doors--
students can be picked up at the flag pole.
As a rule STUDENTS will not be called out of class early for parent pick up
to avoid waiting in line. Students are learning bell to bell.
If a student is needed for an appointment the request will be granted
but you will need to BRING IN A NOTE from the provider (Dr. /Dentist etc.)
to avoid absenteeism entries in power school.
