Rezoning/ Intent to Return Letters Rezoning/ Intent to Return Letters

On March 31st a paper letter will be sent home with all current PK – 7th grade students, informing you of which campus your child will attend during the 2025-2026 school year. Please review this letter to ensure the address we have listed is correct. If it is not correct, you will need to contact your child’s current campus with a current utility bill to update that information, as it might change the placement of your child for the next school year.

In addition, an “Intent to Return” form will be included with the March 31st letter. This form will need to be completed and returned to your child’s teacher. Instructions on how to complete the form and what documentation you will need to send back will be included. To assist us with staffing, it is essential we get these forms back.

Current 8-11th graders, will complete "Intent to Return" online beginning April 1st.

Lunches open to families on Fridays Lunches open to families on Fridays

Dear Walker Families,

We are excited to announce that starting on September 6, we will be welcoming families to join their Walker students for lunch. Due to our growing enrollment, there is a slight change from previous years: Lunch with families will be limited to Fridays only.

To accommodate, we will have extra tables available for those who choose to join us. Outside seating on the patio is also available. We kindly ask that you respect the following guidelines:

  • Please check in at the office. Every visitor MUST present a valid ID and will be given a visitor's badge.
  • Please enjoy lunch with your child only.
  • Do not bring outside lunches for other students.
  • Be mindful of photos and videos; please refrain from taking them while on campus. We have families who request that their child not be photographed or filmed, so let's respect their wishes.
  • Visitors will not be able to accompany students to class after lunch. Please go immediately to the office to check out. At that time, visitor badges will be turned in and all visitors will be checked out.

We look forward to sharing these special moments with you!

Thank you for your cooperation.

College, Career Tech, Military shirt day every Wednesday! College, Career Tech, Military shirt day every Wednesday!

What is College, Career Tech, Military shirt day?

At Walker Elementary, we want our students to know what options are available to them after high school. To bring awareness to the options after high school, we encourage students to wear a shirt to represent a college they would like to attend. We want students to explore the idea of joining a branch of the military. We also want to encourage students to explore trade school and wear a shirt supporting a trade. If you own or work for a local HVAC, plumbing, welding, auto mechanics, or other company, I would love to represent your trade. Let me know how I can get a shirt to wear on Wednesdays. You can support this initiative by having these conversations at home.

Arrival & Dismissal Arrival & Dismissal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please review the important information about our arrival and dismissal procedures. Your cooperation and patience during this time are crucial as families and students familiarize themselves with these routines.

Arrival and Dismissal Routes: Please carefully follow the arrival and dismissal routes as indicated in the photos provided below. Adhering to these routes helps ensure the safety and efficiency of our procedures.

Safety Reminder: For everyone's safety, we kindly ask that you do not cross lanes of traffic on foot. This can create dangerous situations for both pedestrians and drivers.

Car Rider Placards: Placards should be displayed for all car riders. Please display this placard clearly in your vehicle during dismissal. This will help us identify your child quickly and ensure a smooth and safe pickup process. You will notice that Officer James is assisting us with safety during dismissal in the front pick up line. When picking your child up after school, please form one line. I kindly ask that you do not skip the line. This creates a safety issue for cars and people walking.

Walking to Pick Up Your Child: If you plan to walk to the door to pick up your child, please bring a placard with your child's name on it. This will greatly assist us in speeding up the dismissal process, especially during the first few days of school. It also ensures that we can connect parents and guardians with students safely and efficiently. If you are walking up. Your car should not be left unattended in any area not marked for parking. Please assist un in following these expectations.

Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we work together to ensure a smooth and safe arrival and dismissal daily.

Thank you for your continued support.
