Message from the Principal Message from the Principal

Dear Coronado Elementary Families,

As we welcome October, it is hard to believe that we are already approaching the end of our first quarter of the school year! The past several weeks have been filled with learning, growing, building relationships, and creating new memories. It has been exciting to see the progress our students are making both academically and socially. Each day, our students are developing new skills, gaining confidence, and discovering that they are capable of more than they may realize.

One of the most important factors in student success is the partnership between home and school. When parents, teachers, and school staff work together, students receive consistent encouragement and support that helps them thrive. Open communication and strong relationships allow us to celebrate successes, address challenges, and work together to help every child reach their potential. Thank you for partnering with us and for the important role you play in your child's education.

As a reminder, personal toys and Pokémon cards should remain at home. While these items can be fun and exciting, they can also create significant distractions throughout the school day and interfere with learning. We appreciate your help in keeping our classrooms focused and ensuring that students have the best possible learning environment.

With cooler weather on the way, please remember to label your child's jackets and coats with their first and last name. Our lost-and-found tends to grow quickly once the temperatures drop, and a name label makes it much easier to return belongings to their owners!

We are also excited to invite our families to one of our favorite traditions—our 7th Annual “Reading Under the Stars” event! Join us on Tuesday, October 21st, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. for an evening celebrating the joy of reading and spending time together as a school community. We hope to see many of our Coronado families there!

As we approach the end of the first quarter, I want to take a moment to celebrate the growth and progress happening throughout our school. I am incredibly proud of our students and the effort they put forth each day. I am equally grateful for our amazing teachers and staff who work tirelessly to create a positive, welcoming, and encouraging atmosphere for our students every day. Their dedication makes a difference!

Finally, thank you, parents and families, for your continued support of Coronado Elementary. Your encouragement at home, communication with our staff, and partnership with our school are invaluable. Together, we are creating a community where children feel supported, valued, and excited to learn.

Here’s to a wonderful October and a strong finish to our first quarter!

With appreciation,
Ms. Bond
