A Message From Mrs. Salas:
Dear Runyan Families,
A huge thank you to our amazing Runyan Elementary PTO for sponsoring our annual Go Texan Day! Our students had a blast enjoying the petting zoo, hay rides, chili cook-off, and so many other fun activities. We are so grateful for the time, support, and love our PTO and volunteers pour into making special memories for our Roadrunners! Be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos from this fun event!
Dr. Seuss’ birthday is on Monday, March 2nd! 🎉📚 To make the week extra special, we invite all students to join in and dress-up like Dr. Seuss or one of his characters. Dress up is completely optional.
Most of our fourth-grade students will be zoned to attend the new intermediate school scheduled to open in August 2026. Please see the message below from the principal of Fowler Intermediate for more information.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our second Picnic with Parents in collaboration with our PTO! Please see the invitation below for details, and don't forget to complete the pre-registration to ensure check-in on the day of the event. Only parents/guardians who pre-register by March 5th, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. will be able to attend and participate in the event.
We look forward to seeing you here!
Regards,
Anel Salas, Principal

Important Reminders
Assessment Family Report
MAP Growth Assessment Family Reports have been uploaded to the Conroe ISD Home Access Center (HAC). The MAP Growth Family Report summarizes how your student is performing academically, as measured by the most recent MAP Growth test taken. To access the MAP Growth Family Report in HAC, navigate to the District Applications tab and click on "MAP Testing Reports". To learn more about the MAP Growth test, you can view the What is MAP Growth Video for Families (English) or Qué es MAP Growth-Video for families (Spanish). Additional information about MAP Growth can be found by visiting NWEA.org/familytoolkit
While MAP Growth Family Reports are not available in Spanish, MAP does provide a sample report in Spanish for reference purposes.
Toys and Personal Items
We’ve noticed some students bringing toys or small items (like Labubus) attached to their backpacks. We do not recommend students bring toys or personal items to school, as they can easily get lost or damaged.
Please note that the school is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Arrival & Student Safety
For safety purposes we ask parents to not let students out of their vehicle in the street, at the bus ramp, and in the parking lot. This is a safety concern and also interferes with the efficiency of our traffic pattern. If your child will be tardy, please park your vehicle in an identified parking spot and walk your children into the front office to sign them in for the day. We appreciate your help in keeping our students safe and our car rider line flowing efficiently.
Fowler Intermediate School
🌟 Meet Your Principal — Janene Fowler Intermediate 🌟
My name is Amber DeBeaumont, and I am the proud principal of Janene Fowler Intermediate School, the new intermediate campus serving the Timber Mills and Conroe High School feeders.
I have been part of the Conroe ISD family since 2010 and have had the privilege of serving as a campus principal for the past three years at Veterans Memorial Intermediate and six years at Bozman Intermediate. Each step in this journey has strengthened my belief that great schools are built on relationships, trust, and a shared commitment to students.
I am honored to serve the families of the Timber Mills High School feeder and look forward to building strong partnerships across our community. I am deeply passionate about education and grateful for the opportunity to support teachers, students, and families each day. It is especially meaningful to carry forward Mrs. Fowler’s spirit — one centered on children, relationships, and creating a campus filled with joy and heart.
Falcons are known for their vision, strength, and ability to rise with purpose. They soar high, but they are also fiercely protective of their nest. At Janene Fowler Intermediate, we will rise together, grow together, and create a place where every child feels safe to take flight.
Please know that every child who walks through our doors will be loved, supported, and challenged. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to help every student grow into a confident, successful young adult and a proud high school graduate.
We Rise, We Grow, and We Lead the Way to Greatness.
We are Falcons.
Go Falcons! 💚🦅💙
With Falcon Pride,
Amber DeBeaumont

Please read additional information below:
Parents will enter through the back gate by the gym.

Parents who have multiple students in different grade levels, have the option to attend separate lunch times. The school cannot adjust lunch schedules to allow students from different grade levels to eat together at the same time.
Parents will need to bring their own food and a blanket for the picnic, as tables and chairs will not be available for this event.
Attendance is important, and meaningful learning will continue throughout the rest of the day. All students should remain in school after lunch.

It's important to call, email, or send a note to the nurse and teacher if your child is having any type of health problem on a particular day. This is extremely helpful for the nurse if your child presents to the clinic,

The medication must be approved for your child's age by the FDA (herbs cannot be given).
The medication must be in the original container
The medication must have the current prescription label on the bottle or inhaler
The medication must be BROUGHT to the nurse by the parent/guardian and permission form signed
Per CISD policy children are not allowed to transport medication (prescribed/otc)
REGARDING ILLNESS
A student will be sent home from school, with the following symptoms:
Temperature of 100 degrees or more, please keep your child home, until fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducer medication. This ensures your child is well and will not spread illness at school. A student should not be sent to school if a fever reducing medication is required to get the temperature below 100 degrees
Vomiting or diarrhea
Too ill to function in the classroom
Suspected contagious condition or disease
Vision and Hearing Screenings:
Pre-K, Kinder, 1st and 3rd graders and those new to Texas, will have vision and hearing screening this fall. Referrals will be sent home with those who fail. If your child has already had a screening with their medical provider you may send a copy to the clinic and we will update their health record.
