Grizzly Gazzette
Week of October 5th
Good evening Grizzly families,
It's officially October and tomorrow is the last day of the first quarter already! Keep a look out for information from the district as Report Cards will be published on October 26th for families.
Teachers and students have been working hard using our new math resource, Amplify DESMOS Math. This resource utilizes an inquiry based format to help promote student thinking and exploring. Each unit starts with a story that subsequent lessons are based on to help students connect to real life situations and make their own sense of math. Check out this Family Hub for more information on the units and review videos that help families understand the format of lessons, vocabulary used and ways to support learning at home!
As I visit classrooms, I am excited to see the great mathematician thinking happening in classrooms as they discover math concepts and patterns on their own. Ask your child to tell you about the math they are learning.

Nurse Donations
Hello Parents and Guardians,
The Nurseโs Office is seeking donations of gently used or new pants to have on hand for students who may need a change of clothes during the school day.
Students occasionally experience spills, accidents or other situations that require a clothing change, and having extra pants available helps ensure their comfort and keeps them in class and learning.
We would appreciate donations of pants in comfortable, easy-to-wear styles such as sweatpants, leggings, or elastic waist, etc:
โ Girls jogging and/or leggings sizes: 5, 6, 7, 8, 10,12
โ Boys jogging pants sizes: 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12
Thank you so much for your generosity and support in helping us care for our students!

๐งก October School Nurse Newsletter
Dear Families,
Fall is here, and with the change of season come new health reminders to help keep our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
๐ Seasonal Health Reminders
Flu Season is Here โ Make sure to cover your coughs, wash hands frequently, and stay home if you are sick. The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older receive a flu vaccine each year.
Cold Weather Prep โ As mornings get cooler, be sure your child comes to school with appropriate layers, coats, and hats.
๐ซ In-School Health Updates
Vision & Hearing Screenings โ These will take place this month. Youโll be notified if your child needs further evaluation.
Medication Reminders โ All medications (including cough drops and inhalers) must be stored and dispensed through the nurseโs office unless specific arrangements have been made.
๐ Nurseโs Corner
If your child has a new diagnosis, updated health plan, or needs support for allergies, asthma, or other conditions, please reach out. Working together helps keep every student safe and cared for.
Wishing you a safe and healthy October!
