Use this question each week to engage your student at home with the learning that your is doing at school.

Kindergarten: What do plants and animals need to survive? What do humans need to be healthy?

1st Grade: How does light travel differently through transparent, translucent, and opaque materials?

2nd Grade: How do seeds move from one place to another to grow into new plants? Can you name at least three different forms of seed dispersal?

3rd Grade: What things can you find around the house that are in equal groups? What equation can you make to represent your groups?

4th Grade: Where do you see different forms of energy around the house? (light, sound, heat, motion, & electrical)

5th Grade: Where do you see a food chain or food web? Explain how the food chain/web works.

Week 7: School Bus Safety "Be Seen. Be Safe."

Whether your child rides the bus daily or on field trips, reviewing bus safety rules is essential. Students should wait at a safe distance from the curb, enter and exit the bus carefully, and always stay seated while riding. Teach them to look both ways before crossing the street and to make eye contact with the driver when walking in front of the bus. --

Your student will practice a bus evacuation drill this week with Mr. Booth.
