Week of September 8 Week of September 8

🏈 Weekly Knight Playbook Update 🏈

Even though this week was just a 4-day game, our Knights stayed locked in and played every down with focus and determination! Walking the halls felt like watching a strong offense steadily drive toward the end zone—our scholars are clearly committed to their goals.

🚩 Penalty Reminder: Just like in football, certain uniforms aren’t allowed on the field. Camo pants are out of bounds—the official uniform is khakis or jeans paired with the correct grade-level shirt. Students not in uniform will be flagged and asked to call home for a change of gear before they can get back in the game.

⭐ Team Challenge: If we can run a perfect play all week—meaning 100% of students stay on dress code target every day—our Knights will score another Free Dress Friday! But remember, this only happens if the whole team stays on target. No fumbles allowed!

📅 Big Game Ahead: Mark your calendars for September 16th—Our Title I Annual Meeting where Mr. Suckie will discuss all things Title I and how admin, teachers, parents, and community members can team up and support students!! We can connect with families, and set the game plan for a winning year.

Be sure to read the rest of this week’s newsletter so you don’t miss any plays—we’re all in this together, Knights! ⚔️

September is National #AttendanceAwarenessMonth! Being present on time and ready to learn builds strong routines that are the foundation for student success. Missing two days a month totals 10% of the school year, which is considered chronic absenteeism. Consistent attendance: Boosts academic performance and grade-level proficiency. Let's make every day count!
