Patriot's Pointe

Greetings Patriot Families,
This week kicks off our Homecoming Week and our theme this year is "A Southern Showdown." Parents we need your support to ensure that while we encourage student participation in our homecoming week activities, students continue to adhere to the dress code guidelines as outlined in our student code of conduct. Our homecoming parade will take place during our pre-game show inside the stadium at 6:30pm as we recognize our homecoming court and club/organization participants. We are inviting everyone to come out on Monday evening at 6pm to support our dynamic Sandy Creek band as they compete in our County Band Exhibition!
Congratulations to Simon Morano for his accomplishment in advancing as a National Merit Semi-Finalist for the SAT. Simon is one of only six students to achieve this distinction in Fayette County, with the other semi-finalist coming from McIntosh High School. We would also like to congratulate Omar Ganzy and Joycelyn Saldierna-Cardenas for earning honorable mention toward Semi-Finalists distinction in the National Merit Scholarship recognition.
🎶 Congratulations to Chidera Anara, Catherine Riggle, Joanne Saldierna-Cardenas, and Jocelyn Saldierna-Cardenas for being selected to perform in the North Georgia Honors Orchestra at Kennesaw State University on October 15–16, 2026.
🏈 Congratulations to Coach Smiley and our Varsity Football team for another shut out putting up 42 points over Riverdale High School. This week, our team will face Luella High School for Homecoming Friday, September 25th at 7:30pm. Let's pack their house just like we showed up last week and support our reigning State Champions!
🥎 Congratulations to Coach Chisolm and our Lady Patriot's Softball team for defeating Mt. Zion 16-1, Hampton 29-2, and Mays High 12-2 School last week.
🚩Congratulations to Coach Comeau and our Lady Patriot's Flag Football team for an incredible double header home opener defeating both teams in two straight sets. Starr's Mill 6-0 in overtime and Newnan 13-7.
🏐Congratulations to Coach Rutherford and our Lady Patriots for defeating Luella and McDonough 2-0 in two straight sets and North Clayton and Fayette County High Schools 2-0 in two straight sets on Pink Out Night!
Please come out and support our student athletes at home this week. A schedule of all of our events can be found further down in our "Weekly Happenings" section.

Teacher of the Month: September
Congratulations to our teacher of the month, Mrs. Jill Lloyd. She has demonstrated exemplary classroom instructional strategies in the areas of retrieval practice and writing to learn. Her students consistently demonstrate what they know from a previous lesson by writing it down without the use of notes or other instructional aides. She also has her students to explain their thinking about their newly learned material.

Congratulations to Simon Morano, named a Semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program—an honor earned by less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors.
We also proudly recognize Omar Ganzy II and Jocelyn Saldierna-Cardenas for earning Honorable Mention recognition.

Electronic Device Policy
At Sandy Creek High School, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student can thrive. To support a strong and focused start to the school year, students may not use personal electronic devices including cell phones, earbuds/headphones, Meta glasses, smart watches, or similar devices, during the school day. This expectation applies in all areas of the building, including classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, gym/locker rooms, and restrooms. By minimizing distractions and maximizing opportunities for engagement, we are helping our students build meaningful connections, remain present in their learning, and begin the year with the habits that lead to success. We appreciate your partnership and support as we work together to provide every student with a positive learning experience.
Parent Square: Your Hub for Communication!
The Parent Square app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
Get started with Infinite Campus
The Infinite Campus app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct
To ensure accurate bus information for every student, Fayette County Public Schools requires families to formally request transportation services before riding the school bus.
All students MUST BE REGISTERED in order to ride a bus. Please convey transportation needs for student(s) by logging into your Campus Parent portal and navigating to the Survey tool. Click here for more information on completing Campus Surveys.
School bus information will also be available in your student's Campus Portal account as well as on the BusQuest mobile app.
Please note that new enrollments and address changes may take up to 48 hours to be processed by the Transportation Department. This time is needed to assign students to a bus stop and/or adjust their route if necessary.
- Students attending outside their school zone on special permission are not eligible for bus transportation
- Students living within a non-transport zone are not eligible for bus transportation.
