Kegonsa Family Newsletter
2024 - 2025
May 30, 2025
Greetings, Kegonsa!
What a wonderful week we’ve had at school! With sunshine and temps back in the 70s, it’s been the perfect setting for joyful learning, laughter, and outdoor fun.
As we look ahead, we’re entering our final full week of the 2024–25 school year—and there’s still so much to celebrate! A special congratulations to all of the seniors graduating this Sunday. We are so proud of you and wish you nothing but success and happiness as you take your next steps. Your hard work and perseverance have paid off—enjoy every moment of your well-deserved celebration!
Back at Kegonsa, our 5th graders will take the stage Thursday for their final concert, and on Friday, we’ll close out the week with Field Day. Families are warmly invited to join us for lunch between 11:00 and noon. Students may bring a lunch from home or go through the hot lunch line. We do ask that all visiting parents, guardians, and family members bring their own lunch this year.
Enjoy the sunny weekend ahead—we’ll see everyone back at school on Monday! 💙 Erin
Stepping Back in Time: 4th Grade Visits Old World Wisconsin
Our 4th graders recently took a journey into the past during their field trip to Old World Wisconsin! Students explored historic homes, learned about pioneer life, and even tried their hand at chores and games from the 1800s. It was a hands-on experience full of discovery, laughter, and a deeper appreciation for Wisconsin’s rich history. 📸 Check out some snapshots from their day—learning sure looks like fun in the 19th century!
🐟 Once a Blue Gill, Always a Blue Gill: Farewell Edition 🐟
We’re sending a big congratulations to the Stoughton High School seniors who once walked the halls of Kegonsa as little learners.
Today, they returned to where it all began — and this Sunday, they’ll cross the stage as graduates. We are so proud of the kind, resilient, and driven individuals you’ve become. Once a Blue Gill, always a Blue Gill. 💫 #KegonsaProud #ClassOf2025

Shining Gilly Award Winners!
What is the Shining Gilly Award?
The Shining Gilly Award recognizes students who go above and beyond to show exceptional care for others or our school. These students exemplify the qualities we strive to nurture in all of our little citizens—kindness, responsibility, and a positive impact on their community. Whether it's an individual or a group of students, those who receive this award truly reflect the values we hold dear at our school.
Congratulations to Sarah (5th) and Hudson (4th)!
