A new week of collecting has begun

A great contest is brewin' with all classes trying to win.

5th grade has a great start with 2 classes taking charge.

Severson and Cook are in the lead, but the margin isn't large

6th grade has brought the most and is in the lead so far

All the classes have a score, but Cummings is raising the bar.

7th and 8th need to pick up the pace.

Jordan & Oviatt have the most, leading the race.

And everyone needs to keep watch for classes down the hall

Mrs. Heupel & Mullany have piles getting tall.

All in all we are just a little behind

In collecting 30 baskets worth so if you do not mind...

Take a look in your pantry or the next time that you shop

Grab a jar of pickles & throw some mallows there on top.

We are heavy on the veggies, so maybe grab instead...

A can of fruit, a muffin mix or a box of good corn bread.

Calling All Artists

The South Dakota Department of Transportation and South Dakota Pilots Association are seeking students to enter the 2025 International Aviation Art Contest. The theme is Women with Wings and we would like to invite students ages 6 - 17 to submit artwork inspired by the daring women who have defied society's expectations, taking to the air and proving that the sky is a place for everyone. All artwork must be 11 3/4 by 16 1/2 inches or the nearest possible equivalent in size to be considered for the contest. Prizes will be awarded for 1st - 3rd place. All entries must be received by January 7, 2025. There is more information in the office.

Staff Member of the Month

Do you know a staff member that goes above and beyond to be kind and helpful? Please, nominate them for the PTSA staff member of the month. Nomination forms can be found in the office.

Safety

Absolutely no medication on your person, over the counter or otherwise. All medication must be given through the nurse's office.

Backpacks are to be left in your lockers. Our classrooms are very small and backpacks clutter the aisle. It is a safety thing. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
