This event will take place on March 7th for kindergarten, first, and second graders, and March 14th for third, fourth, and fifth graders. Join us for a special morning where parents can enjoy a donut with their child and learn at-home reading strategies to support their reading development.
No School: Please note that there will be no school from March 27th to April 1st. Enjoy the break and make the most of this time with your family!
Looking Ahead:
Kindergarten Registration: Kindergarten registration will take place on April 12th. If you have a child who will be entering kindergarten next school year, be sure to mark this date on your calendar.
Music Programs: Our annual music programs will be held on April 9th for kindergarten, first, and second grades, and April 10th for grades three, four, and five. Come and enjoy a showcase of our students' musical talents!

Box Tops for Education
Every valid Box Tops clip is worth 10¢ for Loess Hills. Make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.
Box Tops - New Scanning Feature
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label.
If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for Loess Hills. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to our school's earnings online.
Hy-Vee Receipts - Cash For Students Program
Eligible receipts for groceries, prescriptions, floral, photoshop, and catering are accepted.
(No fuel, gas, postal, money order, Western Union, lottery, Quest, Mid American, bottle refunds or gift card receipts will be accepted.)

Coming Soon: Conditions for Learning Survey
All Iowa public school districts are required to administer an annual school climate and culture survey to students in grades 3-12 called Conditions for Learning Survey. The survey is designed to measure their engagement in school, safety, and the overall learning environment. The survey will be administered to students in April.
Parents and families of students in preschool through grade 12 will also have the opportunity to participate in the Parent Conditions for Learning Survey. The survey contains similar items to those on the student survey, focusing on areas that range from student safety and positive adult and student relationships to school rules and how they are enforced. Participation in the survey is encouraged, but it is completely voluntary, and all questions are optional to answer.
Please watch your email for more information on the survey.
