Oh no! Are all the holiday preparations getting you down? Don’t fret, Nancy’s team will help you get your baking done in no time at all! Cookie dough and everything you need to form, trim and decorate the cookies will be provided. Cookies will be baked for you by Nancy’s team in large commercial ovens. Hairnets and gloves will be provided, but bring your own apron if you like. And most important, don’t forget to bring containers to carry home your ten dozen cookies. Please arrive on time and plan on staying the full three hours, which includes assisting with clean-up at the end of class. Due to safety restrictions, and out of respect for the adult attendees, no children are allowed in or near the class. Please be respectful to others; if you are ill, you may find someone to take your place. Cookies will not be provided for no-shows.

Join us for the Parenting Conference: Fostering Resilience: Supporting Learners, Strengthening Communities on Saturday, November 7, from 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Eastview High School in Apple Valley. This free event features opening remarks from Superintendent Michael Bolsoni, a keynote on “The Power of Brave Parenting” by Dr. Kathryn Hecht, and more than 20 breakout session topics presented by local experts and District 196 staff. Parents and caregivers of children from birth through high school will gain practical strategies, helpful resources and fresh ideas to support their families. Registration is encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome!
This event is free, but registration is recommended, and required for those needing childcare or an interpreter (ASL, Somali and Spanish available). Childcare is available for children ages two years and older for $10 per family. Registration for childcare closes October 30.
