Warrior Weekly
Issue 4 - August 29, 2025
Principal's Message
We hope you are doing well and enjoying the last few days of August! I would like to inform you of some activities we have coming up in October. On October 16, we will have the annual Vision, Data and iReady Information Night that we would like all of you to attend. This helps us stay connected to our families outside of the school building and gives you an opportunity to review data and give us feedback.
We will also have an ELA cross curricular field trip to Charleston and the Q1 You Are Awesome Party at Surfside Bowling Center on October 21 and 22, 2025. In order to best communicate with you about these opportunities, an information letter and a doubled sided fieldtrip form came home with every student on Tuesday. These field trip forms need to be filled out completely on both sides and returned no later than TUESDAY, September 2, 2025. This is a hard deadline so please be aware. If your child is attending the Charleston field trip, $15 should be brought in with the filled out field trip forms.
October 21- 8th grade to Charleston and 7th grade to Surfside
October 22- 8th grade to Surfside and 7th grade to Charleston
Please see the information for all of these activities linked below…

College Funding Coach
The Waccamaw Schools will be co-hosting a free workshop with The College Funding Coach® on September 18th at 6:00pm at Waccamaw High School. This event is for any family wanting to learn how to pay for college (Preschool - High School).
The College Funding Coach® was founded in 2002 to help families better understand the complexities of paying for college and how to make higher education more affordable. Since that time, The College Funding Coach® team has been on a mission to help families save on the high cost of higher education. They have established an approach that helps parents understand the college funding process, reduce their out-of-pocket expenses, and balance the challenge of saving for college and retirement simultaneously.
This is a free educational event. Please register by clicking HERE or scan the QR code below.
