What an incredible and busy week it’s been at our school! The energy and excitement have been palpable, and I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together at MGA.

We kicked off the week with an amazing 2nd grade play that beautifully connected to CKLA. What a joy to see our students shine on stage! Our campus was buzzing with enthusiasm during flag football and cheer tryouts, and the Book Character Parade brought in a wonderful crowd of families, filling the playground with creativity and community spirit.

A special shoutout to our ELD department for the Royal Lunch Bunch event, which tied in perfectly with CKLA and the Middle Ages theme. It was a fantastic way to bring learning to life in such a fun and engaging way.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to see what next week brings! As a reminder, Boosterthon/Fun Run begins next week. Please support MGA by signing up for Fun Run. The proceeds will assist us enhance learning. Please remember that it is not too late to apply for free and reduced meals. Families that have been impacted by the government shut down may qualify.

Parents of ALL 5th and 8th grade students:

Magnet Applications opened at noon on October 6 and most programs will close at noon on November 6, 2025.

Virtual Academy, Charter Schools, CAT Centers, and JROTC all open at the same time, but they have varying closing dates.

We have included the link for the list of all information nights. Most are in person, and some have a virtual option as well.

As you may have noticed, students no longer have i-Ready My Path Reading lessons, however your child is able to access reading practice at home through Amplify Boost Reading. The directions are linked below.

Flag football try outs will be held Thursday, October 30. Students will meet in Ms. Mason's classroom at the end of the school day. Tryouts, and subsequent practices, will end at 5:00 pm.

Cheer students will practice in the kinesiology lab at the end of the school day on Tuesdays and Fridays unless informed otherwise. Practices will end at 4:30 pm.
