Principal's Message
Vinewood Families,
Happy Sunday, Vinewood Families!
We have another exciting week ahead, and as always, we are grateful for your continued partnership and support of our Mustangs! As the weather continues to change, here are a few friendly reminders to help keep our students safe, healthy, and ready for learning. Please remember that our school dress code requires students to wear socks and closed-toe athletic shoes each day. Proper footwear allows our Mustangs to safely participate in recess, PE, and all other school activities. We ask that boots, rain boots, and other non-athletic shoes be saved for after school. Thank you for helping us keep safety a priority!
Now that Halloween has passed, we know many of our students are excited to enjoy their favorite Halloween treats. While we certainly don't want to take away the excitement of all that candy, we ask that families remind students to save their Halloween sweets for home. Candy and other treats should not be brought out during recess, lunch, or throughout the school day. We have several food allergies on campus, and keeping these treats at home helps us maintain a safe, allergy-conscious, and wrapper-free school environment. Thank you for helping us keep our campus safe and clean!
Here's what is happening around Vinewood this week:
Tuesday: Kona Ice after school on Virginia Street!
Wednesday: Minimum Day, Twin Day (dress-up spirit day), and Mustang Buck Store before school in the cafeteria. Parent Club will also meet at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. All families are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Thursday: Science Camp Dine-Out at Tin-Roof! Be sure to purchase your meal ahead of time for pickup.
Saturday: Come cheer on our Mustangs as they perform the National Anthem at the Stockton Kings game!
Looking Ahead:
Tuesday, November 10: Veterans Day Celebration
Wednesday, November 11: No School – Veterans Day
Friday, November 13: Report Cards Go Home
As a reminder, Vinewood Mustangs have HEART! We are Safe, Respectful, and Responsible! These expectations are at the heart of everything we do, from our classrooms to the playground and everywhere in between. Please continue talking with your children about what it means to demonstrate HEART throughout the school day. When school and home work together to model, encourage, and reinforce these shared expectations, we build a stronger school culture and a community where every Mustang feels supported and has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive
Thank you for all you do to support our Vinewood community. We are so grateful to have families who partner with us, celebrate our students, and help make Vinewood such a special place to learn and grow.
Sincerely,
Alyssa Barban, Principal
