In this section we will feature images and facts about Parkview's first 50 years!

Academic Letter Awards from the 2024-2025 school year will be distributed to students the week of October 27th. To qualify for an academic letter award, students earned a 90.0 cumulative average without rounding for both semesters of the 2024-2025 school year. Each student who qualified for an academic letter award is listed here but will also receive a message on Monday, October 27th notifying them of their qualification for the award. PHS Courtyard Gets a Makeover
Special shout out to Ms. Maureen Atwood for her hard work to beautify the main courtyard between the main building, G Building, and the Cafeteria. As part of this beautification project, she planned and planted a low maintenance garden in our raised concrete planters to create a welcoming and sustainable outdoor space. The garden features plants that thrive with minimal care, providing color and life throughout the seasons. This beautification project will enhance this highly trafficked area and has created an inviting area for students, staff, and visitors. Thank you, Ms. Atwood, for your hard work to bring this project to fruition.

Evolve System Update
We would like to thank everyone for your support this past week as we adapted to our new routine with the Evolv system. We take great pride in our students and staff for their contributions in making this transition so seamless. We are still refining traffic patterns and adding sinage to ensure that students enter the building as quickly and efficiently as possible, but we are optimistic that this transition will continue to go smoothly.
The Evolv system is part of our district’s multi-layered approach to school safety and is designed to be fast, non-invasive, and effective.
What to Expect During Morning Arrival:
Students will walk through Evolv scanners at four designated entry points. The four entry points will be in H-Building, the Main Office entry, the Main Gym, and the back of A-Building.
Phones, keys, and wallets can stay in your bookbags, pockets, and purses.
If an alert is triggered, staff will conduct a brief secondary screening.
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow for smooth entry.
At 7:05 traffic will shift to the bus lane so students arriving at this time can use the Evolv systems at the Gym and Main Entrance only. As always, please follow the direction of our staff on campus.
Thank you for your continued support as we implement this important safety measure.
Attendance Office Reminders
Excuse Note Reminders
Parents, we appreciate your patience as the county shifts how excuse notes are turned in this year. We have just a few quick tips to make this process continue to be successful.
You must fill in one of the two sections:
- Add a doctor's note or document
- Write in your excuse in the "Note" box.
Student Check-ins/Checkouts:
Students arriving late must enter through the main front entrance. They should check in using the tablets and go directly to class.
All checkouts* must happen before 1:30 PM. No exceptions. This allows us to prepare for dismissal, thank you for your support.
If you know ahead of time your student needs to leave early, you may do the following:
Send a written note with student in the morning. Note must be received by the Attendance Office before 7:15 AM.
The note must include: Student’s first and last name, date and time of checkout, and parent phone number.
The attendance clerk will provide a pass to the student to leave at the designated time without the parent needing to come inside. The students can then checkout at the Attendance Office and meet their parents/guardian outside at the time listed.
Attendance clerks will verify all notes before releasing students. If they cannot reach a parent, the student will not be allowed to check out.
We encourage families to regularly check student attendance in ParentVue.
*Please remember, there are no checkouts during testing blocks
