Eagle Ridge- eThursday Folder
February 26, 2026
Message From the Principal-
It’s a great day to be an Eagle!
As we head into the final week of February, I want to take a moment to pause and simply say thank you. These winter months can feel long, yet our halls continue to be filled with curiosity, perseverance, and kindness each day.
February may be the shortest month of the year, but it has been full of meaningful learning, classroom celebrations, and moments of growth. Our students continue to amaze us — not just academically, but in the way they support one another, try new things, and show what it means to be part of the Eagle Ridge community.
As we move toward March, we’re entering that important stretch of the school year where routines are strong, confidence is building, and progress really begins to shine. This is a wonderful time to encourage your child to set a small goal, reflect on how far they’ve come, and keep pushing forward.
Thank you for your continued partnership, encouragement at home, and the countless ways you support our school. Together, we are helping our students soar.
Wishing you a restful and refreshing weekend ahead.

Last Day of School- DATE CHANGE
February 24, 2026 Dear DCSD Parent and Guardians, We have some exciting changes coming to the Highlands Ranch High School, Mountain Vista High School, and ThunderRidge High School feeder schools next year. As you have likely heard, we are consolidating six elementary schools into three, and we are moving sixth grade to the middle school level. In order to help our teachers and staff get ready for these transitions, elementary and middle schools in the three feeder systems will end the current school year a day earlier than scheduled. The last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year will be Thursday, May 28, instead of Friday, May 29. This is only for the elementary and middle schools listed below. NOTE: Our high schools will remain on the original academic calendar and will not end a day early. Highlands Ranch HS Feeder Schools Cresthill Middle School Acres Green Elementary Arrowwood Elementary Cougar Run Elementary Eagle Ridge Elementary Fox Creek Elementary Lone Tree Elementary Mountain Vista HS Feeder Schools Mountain Ridge Middle School Bear Canyon Elementary Copper Mesa Elementary Heritage Elementary Northridge Elementary Sand Creek Elementary Summit View Elementary ThunderRidge HS Feeder Schools Ranch View Middle School Coyote Creek Elementary Eldorado Elementary Roxborough Primary and Intermediate Schools Saddle Ranch Elementary Stone Mountain Elementary Trailblazer Elementary Thank you for making note of this change to the academic calendar. This extra day will greatly help our teachers and staff manage this transition, including packing up their classrooms and coordinating moves to new buildings, where applicable. Should you have any questions about this date change, please contact your school principal. Sincerely, Douglas County School District
