Staff Picks
Question of the Month!
It's a new month, with a new opportunity to learn a little bit about our staff. Each month we ask the staff a question and post the response here in the newsletter. We'd love to hear your response to the question the next time you stop into the library! This month's question is: what is your favorite Halloween costume you've ever worn?
Caitlin: "I loved my Cleopatra costume in 6th grade"
Julie: "Sadly, I don't remember any of my costumes. I'm sure they were very original in that homespun go-through-your-closet-and-find-something-weird kind of way. "
Holly: "My mom made me a Jasmin costume when I was little. I was SO proud of it. She even made me a lamp out of tin foil to carry around. I was crushed when I didn’t win the school's costume contest. But my ultimate favorite was probably my family’s first Halloween group costume: Futurama. My mother and I made a Nibbler costume for my daughter. My husband dressed like Fry, and I dressed up like Leela."
Emilly: "I was a butterfly once! And they're still one of my favorite things."
Beth: "For me, I think it has to be the Molly (the American Girl doll) costume I did a few years ago. I loved matching with my favorite doll from childhood."
Brandi: "Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" because I got to dress up with my son, who went as Jack Skellington."
Mary Lou: "I once did "Bleeding Heart Liberal". It was a lot of fun."
Carol: "Since I am such a Star Trek fan, it would be my husband and I dressing up like crew members from the original Star Trek series. Funny story, when I've worn it to libraries on Halloween, I would ask the children at story time who they thought I was dressed up as. One little girl answered, "A Librarian!" So, I guess all us librarians are part of the Federation!"
