Mystery Pals Needed

Mystery Pals starts This Sunday! What is Mystery Pals? It's a fun (and easy) multi-age program with mystery pen pals exhanging notes, small gifts, puzzles, and clues for several Sundays in a row and then meeting at the Glass Slipper Sunday party on March 10th. This is a great way for adults and kids in the congregation to get to know each other.

It's not too late to sign up! Email Sara at olydre@gmail.com before Friday, Feb. 1st to join the fun! We particularly need at least five more adults to sign up.

General Assembly Information Session

Interested in going to GA when it comes to Spokane in June?

Wondering what that would be like for kids or youth?

Don't know what General Assembly even IS?

Join us for a GA Information Session on Sunday, February 3rd, 12:30-2pm, to hear from folks who have attended past General Assemblies and to get a feel of what it's all about.

Potluck lunch served before, childcare can be arranged if requested in advance.

Sunday and Every Day: Taking it Home

Last Sunday we had stories about choosing new possibilities, possibilities of sharing and forgiveness, with the stories of Lazy Bear and Joseph (cookie version of his many colored coat pictured below).

Discuss it at home:

  • Have you ever felt jealous of someone else or felt like something wasn't fair? What did you do? What could change so it was fair, kind, or compassionate?
  • Have you ever forgiven someone after they did something wrong? Have you ever been forgiven? How does it feel to forgive and be forgiven? What changes when people forgive?

Spiritual Practice:

Sometimes we take the people closest to us for granted (like our siblings). This week, do something to remind your family how much you love them. Write them a nice note, play a fun game together, go on a walk, or just tell them!
