Fire Safety Student Assignment

We’re excited to partner with the Springdale Fire Department for a special student assignment that could lead to a thrilling opportunity for your child! Each student has been asked to create a home fire escape plan. This is not only a fun and creative project — it also helps teach valuable safety skills!

Here’s what to do:

1. Help your child draw a simple map or floor plan of your home.

2. Include two exits from each room and mark an outdoor meeting place where your family will gather in case of a fire.

3. Make sure your child writes their first and last name clearly on their plan.

4. Once your plan is complete, sign it as a parent or caregiver and have your child turn it in to the Walker office by Monday, November 10, at 7:45 AM.

Here’s the best part: One Walker Wildcat will be selected to ride to school in a fire truck! 🎉

To make it easier, we’ve included videos and resources below to help guide your child in creating the escape plan. Be sure to take part in this fun and important safety activity!
