What is iReady Testing What is iReady Testing

i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that provides diagnostic assessments and personalized instruction (grades K~2nd). It helps teachers identify student needs, tailor instruction, and monitor progress throughout the year. The program consists of two main components: a diagnostic assessment and personalized instruction lessons.

During the iReady testing window students will complete a diagnostic test.

i-Ready Diagnostic:

  • This is an adaptive assessment that adjusts to each student's performance, presenting more challenging or easier questions based on their responses.

  • It assesses students in reading and mathematics, covering areas like phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension in reading, and numbers and operations, algebra, measurement, and geometry in math, according to i-READY CENTRAL.

  • The diagnostic data helps teachers understand students' strengths and areas where they need support.

What is Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports??

(PBIS) is a positive reinforcement system that supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral competence of all students. Students are being introduced to classroom//school expectations and rules. As we move forward, students may receive yellow owl cards for great choices and red owls for reminders. We will have a school store, where students are able to purchase cool items with the yellow owls. We are so excited to implement this new program.

We hope that great choices will be encouraged at home also.

WALKERS WALKERS

We understand that older siblings may need to walk our kiddos home. Please be sure your child's teacher is aware of this arrangement. We have a new form to be completed by parents/guardians of students that are walked home by siblings that are under 18 years of age. Once the teacher is made aware, we will send home the form.

Plenty Of Rest

As we get back into routine for the school year, it is vital that our kiddos get enough rest. We encourage you to have a scheduled bedtime each night, and aim to ensure students get at least eight hours of sleep each night
