Gen Free Charter for Primary Schools
“Free from smartphones, free from social media and free to be kids.”
Following our recent surveys and Cybersafe week, Dangan NS & Coole NS are coming together
to join The Gen Free Charter. This pact will benefit the Well-being of all primary school children.
The charter aims to support and empower parents/guardians to connect their children to the things that matter, instead of their smartphones. With the increase in children experiencing issues
with anxiety with social media influencing this.
Many primary school children do not have the emotional maturity to deal with the pressures that social media brings. A letter will be sent out from the school with additional information.
The main parts of the charter are:
No smartphones while in primary school
No social media while in primary school
Respect the age ratings on video games.
