🏫 Principal's Message 🏫
Dear Jefferson Families,
We wrapped up an exciting Unity Week with a reminder of what makes our school community special: kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!
Friday marks the end of our first quarter, and we’re proud of the strong start we’ve had this school year. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making Jefferson a wonderful place to learn and grow!
Attendance Procedures Update!
🎨Celebrating Culture, Creativity, and Community🎨
Our Día de los Muertos celebration brought Jefferson students and families together to honor loved ones and celebrate meaningful cultural traditions. A special highlight was collaborating with parent artist, Mr. Valdovinos, to create a beautiful piece of art that will brighten our school for years to come!
Celebrating Our Fifth Grade Artists!
Our fifth graders recently completed realistic self-portraits in Art class! They also learned about Frida Kahlo and how she expressed her identity through her artwork. Inspired by her self-portraits, students added small drawings and words to their own pieces to share what they value and how they see themselves in the world.
Their artwork is on display outside the gym. If you’re visiting the school, take a moment to enjoy their creativity and learn a little more about our fifth grade artists!
🚲Rolling Together for Unity Week!🧡
We celebrated Unity Week with an exciting visit from the “No Bullying BMX” performers! Their impressive tricks paired with messages about kindness and bullying prevention reminded students that we all play a part in making our school a welcoming place. The performers also shared their five keys to success: “I will follow my dreams, be respectful, stay motivated, stay in school, and say no to negative thinking.” Enjoy these highlights as we continue encouraging students to include others, stand up for one another, and choose kindness every day!
